Climate Matters

James A. Lutz

I am a Research Associate at the College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington, having received my PhD in 2008.  I currently live in Bellevue Washington with my wife and two daughters.

I am studying the ecosystems of western North America to contribute to science based conservation and management of our natural resources in the face of changing climate and demography.

Appointed Research Associate.  I am working for Charlie Halpern on vegetation dynamics and Don McKenzie on heterogeneity of fire severity.

I delivered the Graduate Student Address at the commencement ceremony of the College of Forest Resources.  It was short.
